What do you do?
I play a role in developing the nurse residents through didactic education and hands on simulation training. Designing, implementing and evaluating academic education is a key part of my job.
What inspired you to work with the Nurse Residency Program?
My love for teaching nurses inspired me to apply for this job. It's very satisfying to be able to increase the knowledge of the nurse residents with the end goal of improving patient care.
What is your favorite part of your job?
The interactions with the nurse residents has to be the best part of my job. Watching them grow in confidence and skill is incredibly rewarding.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I love doing anything that includes time with my family and the great outdoors. Fishing, archery, and hiking to name a few activities. As long as my dog, Remington, is by my side, there is no doubt I will be having a great time!
